The Kilcommon/Rearcross/Hollyford Energy Team (KRHET) sprung up from a presentation given to the community by Gearóid Fitzgibbon of North Tipperary LEADER Partnership (NTLP) and Alexandra Hamilton from the Tipperary Energy Agency (TEA) in January 2014. Their goal is to reduce energy use in the overall community in order to save money and create economic activity local. Since 2014, they upgraded 118 homes in their parish, as well as the churches and community buildings.
