Victoria Park Nature Trail was put in place as compensation to the community for the loss of an area of the park due to the construction of the Clyde Expressway and the Clyde Tunnel approaches interchange. The nature trail was built on the site of a branch line and a terminus station (Whiteinch Victoria Park Station), which was closed in 1967. The mounds on which many of trees are planted in the southern end of the trail are made from the rubble from this station. The nature trail runs from Westbrae Drive down to the end of the Expressway in East Scotstoun. It is used as a cycle path, a pedestrian walk and is popular with dogwalkers. It is easily accessed from all parts of the community via Lanes and underpasses.
