We are a local, voluntary association which aims to make Nether Lochaber a better place to live, work and visit. Our membership is made up of people living in the area who want to get involved in improving their community.
Nether Lochaber comprises small villages and crofting townships on the eastern side of Loch Linnhe on the west coast of Scotland, stretching from the Ballachulish Bridge over the mouth of Loch Leven to just south of Fort William.
The association is a registered charity (SCIO) comprising a small board of volunteer trustees plus members who are mostly from the local area. We are working to improve the local facilities and services for the people who live here and for those who visit. We do this by:
creating new facilities, and improving existing ones, to support the provision of additional services.organising or supporting community social events.taking care of our historic and natural surroundings.
Tackling climate issues and being environmentally mind is embedded in all of our work but we are particularly interested in ensuring our Inchree Barn community hub is following best practice etc.
