Strathdearn

...Very well done the team at Strathdearn during Storm Floris. Climate resilence planning and investment in the community paying off well. Project managers turned soup servers and staff on duty in Hub until midnight. Community residents - elderly and not so elderly , domestic and international visitors 'stranded' in powerless Pods and ABnBs mingling with each other charging phones, cooking food and enjoying a glass of wine and some chat. Some used the showers. This morning saw local folk at work in the Hub, hot desking and on Teams calls with power and Wifi. Damp cyclists on NCR7 enjoying the coffee and warmth. And elsewhere local chainsaws and a digger were at work clearing many fallen trees even before the cops arrived with 'road closed' signs. Well done all. Community at work!
