Since moving up here to the Highlands, I have definitely noticed storms getting worse. High wind speeds, the amount of rainfall, and damage to property and infrastructure, as well as coastal changes in the Seaboard Villages, just down the road from the village.
Although, the low-lying marine layers (sea fog) over the Cromarty Firth, a view I see from my flat window on a regular basis, are stunning! I’d never experienced these before moving up to Scotland, and it’s one of my favourite things about the ever-changing weather and landscape of the North Highlands.
