The Brerachan Water restoration project on Straloch Estate aims
to restore and enhance a section of the river by reintroducing meander bends, planting
native riparian trees and removing embankments. These measures support natural
river processes, improve habitat quality and contribute to biodiversity and
floodplain connectivity.
This map shows nature‑based solution projects that support climate change adaptation in the Tayside region. For this work, we use the NatureScot definition of nature‑based solutions (see: https://www.nature.scot/climate-change/nature-based-solutions).
