Theme: Climate Education, Green Spaces, Community Climate Action, Local Food Growing Wimpy Park Community Group is a volunteer-led project that has transformed a once-abandoned walled garden in Alloa into a vibrant community green space. The park now provides areas for food growing, learning, recreation, and connecting with nature — all created and cared for by local people.
Through workshops, volunteering, and community activities, the group encourages people of all ages to learn about nature, growing food, and caring for the local environment. As well as supporting climate education, Wimpy Park helps bring people together, build community pride, and show how local action can restore and protect green spaces.
