These participatory maps have been created to inform design decisions related to the construction of emergency storm centers. Building Sites for the Storm Center modules are selected based on a review of spatial conditions and stakeholder perceptions. Map Proposal 1 represents the first iteration of students developing these Participatory Maps by selecting, visualizing and analyzing openly available government data. In addition, students have constructed quantitative and qualitative survey results from relevant stakeholders. The work leads to a spatial representatin of attributes and stakeholder perceptions. Multiple iterations of these maps reflect shifting stakeholder perceptions responding to design decisions.
