台灣荒野保護協會台北分會推廣綠色生活地圖多年，卻一直很難引起小朋友及青少年的興趣，一天問家中的孩子要怎麼樣才能讓地圖變得有趣，孩子說除非地圖變成電腦遊戲！很多人都喜歡玩電腦遊戲，尤其是小朋友更加喜歡，其中MINECRAFT電腦遊戲擁有3億銷量和1.5億月活躍使用者，打破俄羅斯方塊的紀錄並成為有史以來最暢銷的電腦遊戲。既然大家都愛玩，如果遊戲能和綠色生活地圖相互結合，是否能讓更多的人從遊戲當中認識綠色生活地圖？於是我跟孩子嘗試用MINECRAFT設計出永春陂濕地生態公園綠色生活地圖。
1. Project Value
The Taipei Branch of the Taiwan Wilderness Conservation Association has been promoting mapmaking for many years, but it has always been difficult to arouse the interest of children and teenagers. One day I asked the children at home how to make the map interesting, and the child suggested a computer game!
Many people like to play computer games, especially children. Among them, the MINECRAFT computer game has 150 million monthly active users, breaking the record of Tetris and becoming the best-selling computer game in history. Since everyone loves to play, if the game could be combined with the Green Life Map, will more people get to know the Green Life Map from the game? So my children and I tried to use MINECRAFT to design a green life map of Yongchunpi Wetland Ecological Park. (note that in Taiwan, Green Living Map is the usual name for Green Maps)

MINECRAFT永春陂濕地生態公園綠色生活地圖完成後，學校單位紛紛向我們申請綠色生活地圖的推廣，因為學生們都覺得非常有趣，甚至連學校的老師及校長都反應相當熱烈，後來各大專院校、社區及公家單位也都向我們申請，推廣效果顯著！
2. Project Achievements
After the MINECRAFT Yongchunpi Wetland Ecological Park Green Life Map was completed, school units applied to us to promote the Green Life Map because the students found it very interesting, and even the teachers and principals of the school responded enthusiastically. Later, universities, colleges, communities and public units also applied to us, and the impact was remarkable!
3. 因為這個綠活圖活動而發生了什麼變化？
開始有學生用MINECRAFT建造出他們學校的綠色生活地圖，在作現地測量及環境調查時意外發現，學校原來有這麼多的綠色生活景點！而這張MINECRAFT綠色生活地圖未來完成之後，將會成為學校新生入學的綠色入門地圖。
3. What changes have resulted?
Some students unexpectedly discovered that there are many green living attractions in and around the school! After this MINECRAFT Green Life Map is completed in the future, it will become a introductory orientating map for new students in the school.
4. Green Map使用MINECRAFT有什麼影響？
將地圖與電腦遊戲相互結合，能迅速抓住民眾的眼睛，民眾在看完MINECRAFT永春陂濕地生態公園綠色生活地圖後，也都很想實際去永春陂濕地生態公園走一趟，尤其是愛玩電腦遊戲的孩子，他們發現原來自己週遭的生活環境，也能夠與他們愛玩的遊戲相互結合，自己也能夠透過遊戲將自己的家園推銷給大家，這真的是一件相當有趣的事情。
4. What are the impacts of using MINECRAFT together with Green Map?
Combining mapping with computer games can quickly catch the public's attention. After exploring the MINECRAFT Yongchun Pi Wetland Ecological Park Green Life Map, people want to visit this park, especially children who love to play computer games. They find that their surrounding living environment can also be combined with the games they like to play, and they can also promote their homes to everyone through games. This is really an interesting thing.
