Nature-based solution category: sustainable drainage

Tayside Biodiversity’s Sustainable Urban Drainage System pond enhancement project began in 2022 and is improving  key ponds for wildlife while supporting urban drainage.. The project intends to increase amphibian and insect populations using the ponds and improve the role of Sustainable Drainage features as urban habitats.

Locations include:

  • Elm Drive/Westpark development ponds in Blairgowrie
  • North Inch Pond in Perth
  • Sustainable Urban Drainage System ponds in Murthly
  • Sustainable Urban Drainage System pond in Huntingtower
  • Sustainable Urban Drainage System pond in Abernethy
