Renamed in 2021 as The Red Hen Food Bank Garden is hosted on the same property of the RainCoast Farms Event Center. The owners Mike Gaede and Margaret Stroemer have provided the space and two green houses for Food Bank Growers to plant and harvest fresh food for the patrons of the Tri-Area Food Bank. Volunteers meet Tuesday, Thursday 9-11.

  • Size: 3,500 sq. ft.
  • Gardening Style: Raised Beds with irrigation, two Greenhouses.
  • Growing: Spring greens, lettuce, herbs & edible flowers, assorted vegetables, and LOTS of tomatoes, peppers 
  • Serving: Tri-Area Food Bank (Distribute Wednesday), Quilcene Food Bank (Distribute Wednesday) Brinnon Food Bank (Distribute Tuesday)
  • Supporters: RainCoast Farm and Dick Schneider. 
  • Need: Volunteers for planting, cultivation and harvesting throughout the growing season.  Thursday Mornings: Planting Parties all season. Tuesday mornings: Harvest during the summer production time.
