Climate Action Fife would like to highlight trees, woods and forests that are special to communities in Fife.  This can be anything from a special tree on your street to a wooded area you like walk in. 

Climate Action Fife wants to celebrate where fruit trees have been planted in Fife, as part of the Fruit Tree for Every Garden in Fife campaign. 

Dunoon Goes POP is a heritage-inspired soft-drinks enterprise being developed at the POP shop in Dunoon. And to celebrate 150 years of the Dunoon Burgh Hall, we’re making 150 bottles of a rhubarb-flavoured commemorative pop using locally grown rhubarb.

This campaign compiles UVic faculty projects related to the UN's sustainable development goals. It was created by the UVic Map Shop (uvicmapshop.com) in collaboration with CIFAL.

We will be mapping local strengths and resources that enhance resilience and contribute to the well-being of the Templemore Thurles Municipal District in County Tipperary in six areas. For each area of activity there are a number of icons.

Pollinators are the animals that move pollen between flowers. This helps fertilize the plants, resulting in fruits, seeds, and pods. Common pollinators include Hummingbirds, Bees, Butterflies, Moths, and other insects. The goal of this mapping campaign is to map the pollinators and their habitats in the Quadra-Cedar Hill Neighborhood.

Pollinators, like bees, butterflies, wasps, moths, beetles, birds, and bats enable the fruit to set in our gardens. About one out of every three bites of food exists because of their work. One native pollinator, like a leaf-cutter bee, can do the work of 20 non-native bees. Many populations of native bees (and honey bees) are declining precipitously because of parasites, habitat loss, insecticides, and climate change. Help us map pollinator habitat (and places where habitat would be helpful) in the CRD!
