Describe the history of the lighthouse
The village of Lybster is near the north eastern tip of Scotland in Caithness and was once a very busy fishing port. The lighthouse is situated on the end of the harbour pier. Looking at photos on the internet it appears the original lens made by Chance Brothers of Smethwick near Birmingham has now been removed though I have been unable to find any information to confirm this or what has subsequently happened to it.
