This project: greening active travel routes, tree planting, grassland, meadow and pollinator habitat

The Montrose cycle path project was the first in Angus to be managed using an urban wildlife-friendly approach. Pond excavation, riparian vegetation and wetland planting for shade and shelter, alongside changes to grass cutting regimes, have allowed wildflowers to regenerate and supported increased birdlife at both ponds along the track.
