NYC Energy

Charting the energy in NYC's environment

Featuring climate smart energy choices and energy efficiency projects all across NYC! We we were inspired to map energy in NYC by the Great Northeast Blackout of 2003, and published our first map on the toping in 2006. A continually evolving process, this new Open Green Map includes the best of the sites. Want to help us add more to it? See the earlier iterations and contact us on GreenMap.org

background This is Green Map System's own local Green Map project, highlighting the remarkably green side of NYC NYC's original 1992 Green Map sparked the formation of the global Green Map System. New editions are created regularly, both to connect New Yorkers and visitors to great green sites, and to test out new models to be shared with the global network. Visit our NYC website at http://GreenMapNYC.org for more about this program.
