Dunoon Goes POP is cultivating a community of rhubarb growers in the Dunoon and the wider Cowal area and we are asking people living here to add their rhubarb patch to our Dunoon Rhubarb Growers Map.
Rhubarb is a key ingredient of our Rhubob and Custard flavoured cordial, a drink that celebrates the Architect of Dunoon Burgh Hall, Robert Bryden.
To add your patch, simply complete the form below.
Rhubarb is a plant with a fascinating heritage. It is a perennial plant that is relatively easy to grow in Dunoon and a plant that we hope will continue to grow here as our climate changes.
As a community based soft drinks brand we want to help more people come together through growing plant and enjoying our locally made drinks. We have developed a drinks garden here at the POP shop and another at the Top Shop, packed with flavoursome plants, including rhubarb, which people can visit.
By adding your rhubarb patch to the map you will be helping Dunoon Goes POP asses the level of rhubarb growing activity going on in this area. We are on a mission to help Dunoon become the Rhubarb capital of Scotland, so adding your patch to the map supports this goal. Your patch will appear as an anonymised data point on the Dunoon Rhubarb Grower map.
If you agree, then we will also send you updates about Dunoon Goes POP, plus share tips on growing other plants used in our drinks.
We will also invite you to Dunoon's annual Rhubarb Festival where you can meet members of our rhubarb growing community.
This year the festival takes place Saturday July 25th at the POP shop. For more information go here>
