Restaurant devoted to creating an environmentally responsible business by purchasing locally grown foods and serving them in the season in which they are grown. From the food they use, to the energy they use, they are constantly thinking about new ways to operate in an environmentally responsible way (using renewable energy-wind power and small hydroelectric power, earth-friendly dishwashing and cleaning products, conversion of kitchen grease into biodiesel fuel, use of recycled paper, biodegradable to-go containers, and more!). franny’s cannot accommodate parties larger than 6 and does not take reservations (first come, first serve). Hours: Monday-Thursday 5:30-11:00 PM Friday 5:30-11:30 PM Saturday 12:00-11:30 PM Sunday 12:00-10:00 PM

NYC Energy

Featuring climate smart energy choices and energy efficiency projects all across NYC! We were originally inspired to map energy in NYC by the Great Northeast Blackout of 2003, and published our first printed map on the topic in 2006. A continually evolving process, this new Open Green Map includes the best of the sites as of 2013. Want to help us add more to it?  Click Suggest a Site at the top!
