PS 84, a Title I elementary school on the Upper West Side, plans to incorporate composting into its curriculum, as well as its waste management practices. The school is in the initial phase of revitalizing its rooftop garden into a science center that will include an herb and vegetable garden (Urban Roots), and composting will be an integral part of this program.
