CEDIS – Consorzio Elettrico di Storo

The Consorzio Elettrico di Storo is a Limited Liability Cooperative, founded in 1904 . The main sector of activity concerns the production and distribution of electricity . The cooperative company owns two power plants (Palvico '71 and Lorina) with a total of four turbine groups. In addition to these, the so-called “Photovoltaic Roof” set up above the warehouse in the industrial area in Storo began its activity at the end of 2009.

CEDIS is also the owner of a widespread distribution network that affects the municipalities of Storo, Bondone and Ledro (Tiarno di Sopra and Tiarno di Sotto and partly Bezzecca). The distribution network consists of a modern MV / MV substation for connection to the national grid in the locality of Gaggio in Storo and approximately 84 kilometers of 20 kV medium voltage lines, of which approximately 53 kilometers in insulated and buried cable, which connects over 70 MV / LV transformer substations. The low voltage network is about 260 kilometers long and is almost completely underground.

In this map, we list all the energy Collective Action Initiatives (CAIs) that have been involved through the COMETS project (http://www.comets-project.eu/). Their participation in the project was either through the National Research Teams investigating the conditions supporting or inhibiting the success of energy CAIs at the national level; or through their use as a Frontier Case, to inspire others with their experience and practices.
