Describe the history of the lighthouse
Again as with most Korean lighthouses very little information is available and I was unable to find a photograph of the lighthouse. The island is the largest of a group of islands in the southern entrance to Wonsan Bay. The lighthouse is located on the high point at the south east of the island. The light appears in Chance Brothers of Smethwick near Birmingham as Nicholski Island and it has been very difficult to trace where this island however I did find a reference to the island being outside Gensan (Wonsan) in old navigation charts.

Other details
I have been unable to find any information regarding the present lens in the lighthouse though it may well be that the original Chance lens has been removed.
