Folkestone Repair Cafe REUSE – RECYCLE – REPAIR

The Folkestone Repair Café meets every second Sunday of the month. Community members can save money, learn new skills and keep as many things out of the landfill as possible by bringing items needing repair to Sunflower House every second Sunday of the month. Whether you've torn a t-shirt, your lamp won't light or your IT solutions are more problems, bring your items along and our friendly team will do their best to get you back on track. Volunteer experts will share their repair skills in clothing and textiles, book mending, small appliances, IT solutions, knife sharpening or jewellery. We make no guarantees, and it's understood that you bring items at your own risk. But you could learn a repair skill, it's FREE, and it's a fun way to socialise with your community. Bonus: light refreshments are all provided free of charge too. Folkestone Repair Café at Sunflower House is a real community collective: we are simply a group of people who like preserving special things with sentimental value, avoiding waste, and fixing whatever we can!

This map is designed to share knowledge of sustainable resources, organisations, individuals and initiatives to help those working with all aspects of theatre design in the UK green up their productions and practices. Very much a work in progress.
