The Tipperary Town Men’s Shed was the first ever to be established in Ireland in 2009. A Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. Men’s Sheds are open to all men regardless of age, background or ability. It is a place where you can share your skills and knowledge with others, learn new skills and develop your old skills.

The group has 15 active members and contributes to many activities in Tipperary Town. They are meeting at the Knockanrawley Resource Centre. In 2022, they won a Pride of Place Award in the Community Well Being Category.

Local Community Wellbeing & Climate Resilience Mapping is a process to empower Community Climate Coaches to guide community members in mapping their local strengths and resources, which will contribute to the development of Community Wellbeing and Climate Resilience Pathway for each Municipal District of County Tipperary.
