Nature-based solution category: river restoration
The Rottal Burn restoration project re-meandered one kilometre of the burn, planted trees and fenced the area to protect it from grazing. The work restored more natural river form and riparian habitat, with juvenile fish numbers increasing fivefold following the intervention.
