Nature-based solution category: saltmarsh restoration
The Montrose Basin saltmarsh restoration project restored 1.8 hectares of transition saltmarsh habitat, known as the saltpans, at Montrose Basin Local Nature Reserve in 2022. The work was supported through Angus Council’s Edinburgh Process Nature Restoration Fund award and contributes to coastal habitat restoration and biodiversity.
