Bamff Wildland is a pioneering rewilding project managed near Blairgowrie, focused on wetland restoration and natural ecosystem recovery. The project began with the re-creation of wetlands through reverse drainage schemes, followed by the introduction of beavers in 2002, supporting habitat creation, biodiversity and the restoration of natural processes. In 2021, a larger scale trophic rewilding project began on 12 former sheep fields, with the introduction of a natural grazing regime. Bamff Wildland is family owned and run, supported by a steering committee.
