Play Together on Pedals

Loading...

Play Together on Pedals is a learn to ride cycling project, encouraging families to get active through enjoying the fun and freedom of cycling together. They offer free sessions where children can gain cycling skills and progress from balance bikes to pedals. These take place all year round in venues across Glasgow. They also offer support to families who would like to cycle together by linking up with other projects for adult learn to ride and support. In addition to these public family cycling activities, they deliver a primary school programme and training in nurseries for early years practitioners, allowing them to then teach cycle skills in the nursery.

Get involved

Contact your local nursery to see if they are participating in the project and if they need any volunteer help.

A map of cycle-friendly venues across Glasgow — cafés, pubs, shops, workplaces, and community spaces that welcome riders. Each pin shows what matters when you arrive on a bike: secure parking or racks, indoor storage, repair tools, water refills, changing facilities, and whether the staff actually know what a bike is. Submitted and verified by the local cycling community, the venues map helps you plan stops along your route and rewards businesses that make Glasgow a better place to ride.
