The Allan Water Improvement Project is a catchment-based approach to nature restoration, working with landowners and managers along the Allan River Catchment to support and deliver Natural Flood Management (NFM) benefits, improve water quality and other ecosystem benefits.

Projects have included riparian tree planting, leaky dams, wetland creation and peatland restoration at different sites within the catchment.

This map shows nature‑based solution projects that support climate change adaptation in the Tayside region. For this work, we use the NatureScot definition of nature‑based solutions (see: https://www.nature.scot/climate-change/nature-based-solutions).
