This community woodland is a unique example of urban forestry and home to wildlife, a wonderful waterfall, and a rich history as the pleasure grounds of The Stuarts who had connections with Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots who is said to have slept in Castlemilk House on the eve of the Battle of Langside in 1568. Castlemilk House has been demolished however the 19th Century Castlemilk Stables remains and underwent an award winning renovation. Walks in in the woodland start here & are signposted.

You can download a leaflet at the below website which also details which walks are wheels friendly, length and grade of walk: https://www.cassiltoun.org.uk/castlemilk-park/.
