Ocho Café, offering brunch, lunch, & cocktail options, is located on the banks of the Glasgow Canal (part of the Forth & Clyde Canal that crosses central Scotland), just a short walk North of Glasgow's City Centre - close to the bustle but in a more tranquil environment, just beside one of Glasgow's historic & beautiful waterways.
Housed in a heritage building originally built in 1851 as the offices of the Forth & Clyde Navigation Co. & the City of Glasgow Grain Mills & Store, Ocho Café is one of 19 commercial units currently housed in the buildings, which were converted in 1989.
LOTS of vegetarian & vegan options, & an emphasis on healthful / healthy eating & local products.
Dog-friendly café!
*Accessibility note - though just across the canal the Forth & Clyde Canal Spur Towpath (link below & also a separate listing here on the Glasgow Green Map) is largely accessible for those with mobility impairments &/or users of wheeled supports such as wheelchairs or walkers, some of the historical architectural features of Speirs Wharf, such as cobble in some places, may be a barrier to access.
