Located just to the north of Glasgow City Centre, on the banks of the historic Forth & Clyde Canal, the award-winning Lambhill Stables Café at the Canal is the heart of Lambhill Stables, & is run almost entirely by a team of loyal & dedicated volunteers. They focus on providing simple yet healthy food at accessible prices & they use fruit & vegetables from their extensive community garden, whenever possible.
The Café at the Canal is right on the Forth & Clyde Towpath (that stretches along the Forth & Clyde Canal) near Possil Marsh Nature reserve, beside Lambhill Stables' community garden - 3 separate listings here on Glasgow Green Map, links below!
Serving delicious hot & cold food, with always at least one daily-special dish, they also host & welcome many walking & cycling groups that enjoy the cafe as a convenient stop-off point from walking or cycling along the beautiful Glasgow Canal.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday: 10am - 4pm. Closed Mondays and Sundays.
A social enterprise, Lambhill Stables offers art classes, lunch & social groups, a history & heritage group, youth & scout groups, sewing & knitting classes, photography & computer clubs, live music evenings, & a community garden that is open to everyone.
*There's also an attached 'bike hub' bike-repair shop!*
