Edinburgh Community Food tackles health inequalities in low-income and vulnerable communities across Edinburgh – working to build knowledge, skills and confidence around food and supplying locally-sourced fresh produce – to ensure that everyone in our city has access to an affordable, healthy diet. Embedding the principles of dignity, Edinburgh Community Food have supported and strengthened low-income communities since 1996 using the distribution of nourishing food, food and health development work, the delivery of accredited training and food education for schools. The organisation also develops collaborative working with a wide range of partners, building capacity and effective practice around food.
