Methilhill Community Children's Initiative is a community led group dedicated to providing local children and young people with opportunities to play, learn and grow. Based within the Methilhill Community Learning Garden, we operate a 6 day programme of activities including garden based activities, local youth clubs and outreach sessions to schools and organisations. We have been running for 8 years, and were founded by local parents and community members who wanted to provide local children with community based experiences. Community spirit together with meaningful learning is at the heart of everything we do. The children and young people are strongly involved in the planning of sessions and the development of their clubs, and they even have a nominated representative who attends board meetings to voice their opinions on all matters.
